The engagement

This engagement involves a comprehensive redesign of security and segregation of duties for Oracle Cloud ERP to ensure audit readiness for upcoming SOX testing. You will work closely with finance stakeholders to implement secure, compliant access structures that support business operations while maintaining strict internal controls.

Scope & deliverables

  • Comprehensive security design document for Oracle Fusion Financials
  • Remediated SoD conflict report and mitigation strategy
  • Configured custom job and duty roles with testing evidence
  • Operational runbooks for ongoing security administration
  • Final validation report for SOX audit readiness
Month 1Complete current state assessment and baseline SoD conflict analysis
Month 2Design and unit-test new custom job and duty role structure
Month 3Configure data access sets and finalize Risk Management Cloud rules
Month 4Execute SIT and UAT cycles including defect remediation
Month 5Finalize documentation, knowledge transfer, and go-live support

What you'll do

  • Design and build custom job and duty roles within Oracle Fusion Financials
  • Configure data access sets by ledger and business unit following program standards
  • Perform segregation of duties analysis utilizing Oracle Risk Management Cloud
  • Support system integration and user acceptance testing through defect resolution
  • Document technical configuration decisions and create operational runbooks
  • Collaborate with functional leads and SMEs in an agile project environment

Qualifications

Must have

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Security and Custom Roles
  • Proven delivery on at least two full-lifecycle Oracle ERP implementations
  • Strong working knowledge of Data Access Sets and Risk Management Cloud
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and financial close processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Nice to have

  • Relevant Oracle platform certifications
  • Experience working in an agile or hybrid ERP delivery framework
  • Exposure to adjacent Oracle finance modules or middleware integrations
