The engagement
PixelWave is seeking a skilled SAP Fiori/UI5 Developer to join an established team for a high-impact UX program. You will lead the development of 15 custom applications on S/4HANA to streamline business operations and enhance the end-user experience. This engagement is critical to ensuring our client successfully transitions to a modern, responsive SAP environment.
Scope & deliverables
15 fully functional, custom SAP Fiori applications
Technical design specifications and configuration documentation
Unit test scripts and defect resolution reports
System runbooks for client knowledge transfer
Month 1Onboarding, environment setup, and completion of technical architecture for initial application wave
Month 2Successful development and unit testing of the first 3-4 custom Fiori applications
Month 3Integration testing completion and handover of core Fiori Launchpad configuration
Month 4Development of second major batch of applications and mid-project status review
Month 5Final application deployment and support through user acceptance testing cycles
Month 6Project sign-off, final documentation delivery, and knowledge transfer completion
What you'll do
Design and develop custom Fiori applications using SAPUI5 and OData services
Configure and maintain the Fiori Launchpad to support S/4HANA user workflows
Translate functional requirements into detailed, maintainable technical specifications
Execute unit and integration testing to ensure high-quality, defect-free code delivery
Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to client stakeholders upon completion
Collaborate with functional consultants and project managers in an agile delivery model
Qualifications
Must have
4+ years of hands-on experience with SAPUI5 and Fiori development
Proven experience with at least two full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementations
Strong technical proficiency in OData and JavaScript
Excellent communication skills for direct engagement with client SMEs
Authorized to work in the US as a 1099 Independent Contractor
Nice to have
Active SAP platform-related certifications
Experience working in fast-paced, agile or hybrid project environments
Exposure to SAP middleware platforms or adjacent modules
