The role

Midi Health is seeking a strategic Staff Data Scientist to design and own a comprehensive data framework focused on Unit Economics and long-term financial health. You will bridge the gap between complex healthcare reimbursement cycles and operational costs to provide the definitive analytical source of truth for the organization.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement end-to-end data frameworks for Unit Economics
  • Develop sophisticated lifetime value models accounting for healthcare reimbursement volatility
  • Build predictive models to estimate cash-in-hand revenue across insurance and self-pay tracks
  • Integrate operational cost structures, such as state-by-state clinician licensing, into margin calculations
  • Influence marketing spend allocation and product pricing strategies through analytical insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure data accuracy across product lifecycles

Qualifications

Must have

  • 3+ years of professional experience in data science or engineering
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for statistical modeling and data manipulation
  • Experience working with JavaScript for data-related tool development
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with system design and cloud infrastructure at scale
  • Background working in a high-growth startup or fast-paced technical environment
  • Domain expertise in healthcare reimbursement or financial modeling
