The engagement

This engagement focuses on developing advanced profitability and margin analytics by integrating Workday Financials with external operational data through Prism Analytics. You will collaborate with the CFO organization to deliver actionable insights that directly influence business strategy and financial performance. This project is critical for establishing a unified reporting framework that bridges the gap between ERP data and operational execution.

Scope & deliverables

  • Automated data pipeline architecture for Workday GL and operational data sources
  • Customer and product profitability dashboards built in Prism Discovery Boards
  • Technical design documentation and system configuration runbooks
  • Regression testing reports and defect resolution logs
Month 1Requirements gathering, project roadmap finalization, and initial pipeline data mapping
Month 2Development of core data pipelines and initial prototype of profitability dashboards
Month 3Completion of dashboard build, integration with Discovery Boards, and commencement of SIT
Month 4UAT support, defect remediation, and final refinement of financial reporting logic
Month 5System go-live, final documentation handover, and knowledge transfer to finance stakeholders

What you'll do

  • Design and build data pipelines to integrate Workday GL detail with CRM and operational datasets
  • Develop and unit-test Prism Analytics dashboards for customer and product profitability analysis
  • Translate complex functional designs into technical specifications and maintainable components
  • Execute defect analysis and root-cause fixes during SIT and UAT testing cycles
  • Document configuration decisions and technical runbooks to support ongoing knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with functional leads and finance stakeholders in an agile development cadence

Qualifications

Must have

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Prism Analytics and Profitability Analysis
  • Proven experience delivering at least two full-lifecycle finance transformation implementations
  • Strong proficiency in building complex data pipelines, SQL querying, and Discovery Boards
  • Solid working knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and financial close processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field

Nice to have

  • Active Workday Prism Analytics platform certifications
  • Experience working within an agile or hybrid ERP delivery framework
  • Prior exposure to adjacent finance modules or middleware integration technologies
