The engagement

This engagement involves building and managing critical Workday Financials integrations to connect core systems with banking, tax engines, and CRM billing feeds. Your work will directly support the company's financial data flow, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in payment processing and reporting across the organization.

Scope & deliverables

  • Technical design documentation for all scoped integrations
  • Fully functional and unit-tested Workday Studio integration packages
  • Integrated bank and tax engine connectivity for the CRM billing feed
  • Defect resolution reports from SIT/UAT cycles
  • Completed operational runbooks for internal support team handoff
Month 1Requirements gathering and initial technical design sign-off
Month 2Core Connector development and initial unit testing phase
Month 3Integration build completion for banking and tax engine components
Month 4System Integration Testing (SIT) and initial defect remediation
Month 5User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and final code refinements
Month 6Go-live preparation, production deployment, and post-launch stabilization

What you'll do

  • Design and build Workday Studio and Core Connector integrations for banking and tax systems
  • Translate functional design requirements into technical specifications
  • Perform unit testing and support SIT and UAT cycles through defect resolution
  • Troubleshoot integration issues in pre-production and production environments
  • Document technical configurations and create operational runbooks for knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with finance stakeholders and project management in an agile environment

Qualifications

Must have

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Studio and Core Connectors
  • Experience with at least two full-lifecycle Workday implementation projects
  • Strong technical proficiency with Bank Integrations and Tax Engines like Vertex or Avalara
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial close processes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with finance leadership

Nice to have

  • Active Workday platform certifications
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ and upstream billing feed integration
  • Background working in agile or hybrid ERP delivery models
