The engagement

This engagement involves leading a guided buying and supplier management rollout within the Workday Procurement module for a client-focused project. You will work directly with finance stakeholders to ensure procurement processes are optimized, compliant, and integrated seamlessly with accounting functions.

Scope & deliverables

  • Configured Workday Procurement requisition and PO workflows
  • Completed set of SIT and UAT test case documentation
  • Full suite of process flow diagrams and design workbooks
  • Hypercare issue resolution tracker
  • Final project transition documentation

What you'll do

  • Facilitate design workshops to translate business requirements into Workday configurations
  • Configure and iterate requisition-to-PO workflows, supplier contracts, and three-way match rules
  • Execute SIT and UAT test scenarios while tracking defects through resolution
  • Produce comprehensive configuration workbooks, design documentation, and process flows
  • Advise stakeholders on leading procurement practices and downstream accounting impacts
  • Provide support during cutover, go-live, and hypercare periods including month-end close assistance

Qualifications

Must have

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Workday Procurement and Requisitions
  • Proven track record on at least two full-lifecycle Workday implementations
  • Deep functional knowledge of Supplier Contracts, Punchout Catalogs, and Three-Way Match
  • Solid grounding in US GAAP accounting principles and financial close processes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Nice to have

  • Active Workday platform certifications
  • Prior professional background in accounting or audit
  • Industry-specific procurement experience
