The engagement

Ironwood Transformation Group is seeking an Oracle HCM Cloud Solution Architect to lead a complex enterprise transformation program serving 14,000 employees across six countries. This engagement focuses on governing technical design and environment strategy to ensure the successful deployment of core HR, payroll, and talent modules.

Scope & deliverables

  • Technical design documentation for all HCM Cloud modules
  • Environment strategy roadmap and governance framework
  • Validated technical specifications for system integrations
  • System runbooks and knowledge transfer materials for the client team
Month 1Assess current landscape and establish program governance and environment strategy
Month 2Finalize technical specifications for initial HCM modules and integrations
Month 3Complete design validation and begin first phase of unit testing
Month 4Oversee system integration testing and resolve priority one defects
Month 5Support user acceptance testing and finalize configuration runbooks
Month 6Conduct final system performance audit and prepare for initial go-live transition

What you'll do

  • Design and validate solution architecture for core Oracle HCM modules including Payroll, Benefits, and Talent
  • Translate complex functional requirements into detailed technical specifications and reusable components
  • Define and oversee environment strategy and program governance standards for the multi-phase rollout
  • Troubleshoot technical defects through the full development cycle with proactive root-cause analysis
  • Document technical configurations and operational runbooks to support long-term knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with project managers and client SMEs in an agile delivery framework

Qualifications

Must have

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle HCM Cloud and enterprise solution architecture
  • Proven track record of delivering at least two full-lifecycle Oracle HCM implementations
  • Strong technical proficiency in environment strategy and program governance frameworks
  • Authorized to work in the US as a W-2 employee
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Information Technology

Nice to have

  • Relevant Oracle HCM platform certifications
  • Demonstrated experience working within agile or hybrid project delivery environments
  • Exposure to adjacent middleware platforms or integrated HCM modules
